It is provided in powder form which is dissolved in sterile water. This antibiotic suspension is ideal to be prescribed for children for treatment of sinusitis, otitis media, & pharyngitis. It gets metabolized in liver with bioavailability of about 50%. Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100MG/5ML + Sterile Water 30 ML exerts its activity by inhibiting final step of transpeptidation thus causing bacterial death.
